Product Configuration? We build "generic" boards and add "personality" with
programmed chips, different processors, different connectors. Is that
particular device used in several applications?

Subject: [TN] Resistor networks on back plane: why use socket?
All,
What are the good reasons to have resistor networks to be loaded
into
the socket, mostly on back plane instead of directly soldering them
onto
the back planes? What is your opinion in removing the sockets and
soldering the resistor networks directly onto the back plane to save
$$$
for the company? Is the rework is a big problem?
re,
Ken Patel
