There is a whole lot of test you can do on the surface: Auger, Raman, FTIR, TOF- SIMS, Laser Ablation Quadropol Mass Spectroscopy, and we can do them all. The problem is, you get hell of a lot of elements and molecules. I am sure we can give you a list of minimum 5 elements and 20 organic molecules. If you have no clue what you are looking for ( what should be there or what mustn't be there ) the main result will be a frightening high bill but the decision, which of all the stuff we found is important might be quite difficult.
Have a great day
