Hi Scott,

Two options I would suggest looking into
Equipment Upgrade for a selective spray fluxer if you don't already
have one. It only puts flux where you want it and you can control how much.
A mask (custom made) to block areas that don't need flux. They're
cost effective for large volume part numbers since the masks can be
expensive. My old Hollis wave flow machine used pallets so it was just an
extra piece that hooked into it. I imagine there are ways of doing without
the pallet - finger conveyor. Now if I only had my notes to give you a
lead.

I was looking into both options before leaving my last job so I didn't get a
chance to actually try them.

Hans

Subject: [TN] Flux Deposition

Good Afternoon,

I am wondering what approaches are available for measuring the amount of
flux applied to the bottom side of a circuit card using a spray fluxer...or
for that matter any type of flux application method.

Thanks in advance,
