Hi all, one question before Easter.

Do zener diodes make effective transient suppressers ?
Would you expect any discoloration in the package from electrical stress?

Is it expected to see cracked diodes (physically) from electrical stress?,
I have load dumped these components (1N4751A 30V ) and have yet to  have one
physically crack

I guess that was more than one but it is my youth that gives me so many
questions!!
