Soldermasks come in many colors, however most assembly houses request green.  I am also
interested in finding out the history of "why green".  Perhaps its as simple as thats
how it began (like the volkswagon bug).  I personnally think it provides a pleasant
contrast to the glass, copper, legend, etc.
