Graham,
My condolences!
What about dunking them in some solder stripping chemistry? If it's just a
flash coat of HASL, it shouldn't damage the substrate too much. Although, if
you are looking for SIR panels, you may want to limit the types of chemistry
you put them into.
Possibly a light brush/ pumice scrub?

Subject: [TN] Removing HASL
Morning Techies
Houston - we have a problem!
I wonder if anyone has any ideas about removing HASL from B25A coupons.
Someone here goofed and ordered our test coupons with HASL instead of bare
copper - you can't get the staff you know!
So, as it will take some time - and money! - to get these replaced I thought
I would put this to the experts.
Awaiting your assistance......
Regards,
Graham Naisbitt
