  Dear Patricia Lui
You try hot air gun to remove components of 4 legs.

  Best regards

        Thanks Tom,

I have a common complain of pads lift especially when the rework guy have to remove components with 4 legs. I have examined how the rework guy do to remove the components. He have used the tip of the soldering iron to rub on all the 4 solder joints until all the solder of the 4 legs melt then he pull out the component. I believe by metling the 4 legs together take a longer time which have caused the pads to be over heated and the pads lift up. Can you advice me what is the proper way we should do to remove a 4 leg component so as not to over heat the pads. Hope to have your advise.

        Thanks & Best Regards

主旨: [TGAsia] leadfree hand soldering temperature

                Dear Sir,

I have a customer who often complains boards supplied by us have pads lift issue when they do hand soldering rework. This customer is using hand soldering with temperature set at 320-349 degC for leadfree soldering rework and the boards supplied by us are with Tg130-140 degC only. We hope to have your expertise advice what is the common leadfree hand soldering temperature and if need to withstand 320-349degC hand soldering temperature, what Tg material should be used.

Hope to receive your favourable advise.

                Thanks & Best Regards
