Tom,
I suggest contacting the various connector suppliers, such as AMP
Burndy etc and get their input on your request. I expect they will
highly recommend NOT mixing dissimilar metals.
The tin will oxide and crate an increasingly higher resistance, which
will at some point start to cause noise problems. The two metals
can also create an electrical potential (battery) across the joint
which can also affect the electrical signals.
