PCMCIA cards are no different than other PWBs with the exception that they
are thinner. Thus, your experience with PWAs apply. Reliability will depend
on the components you put on the cards. Stay away from TSOPs with Alloy 42
lead frames--field failures have been reported for SIMMs and DIMMs in
computer environments!
