   There has been a lot of discussion at our factory about
what the industry is using as the standard lead length. The
boards we produce are mixed technology that have 1206 and
0805 components glued onthe wave soldered side.  IPC-610
section 3.5.3 states Class 1 as any length that doesn't
cause shorts, Class 2 as 2.5mm max. and Class 3 as
1.5mm.  Currently we are using class 2 because we don't
build any mil spec products.  I would like to hear from others
on what they are using in there factories and how that length
is achived either by component prepping, cut and clinch
equipment before wave, post wave clipping or post wave
sawing.
