Plug 'em in under the worst climatic conditions and test for smoke

Sorry, forget it. If they are newly soldered, there may be a chance but
your wording suggests that these are already existing devices (i.e.,
were soldered in the indeterminate past). As it is, you would probably
cause a lot more harm than good.
