This is for board makers out there. I recently had a board with a repaired trace to a pad of a QFP. Is it standard practice for board makers to do repairs without telling the customer? Our QE was told by the FAB house that they do repairs and the boards meet IPC 600. While the repair was a good job I could not sell the finished product without approval from my customer. Fortunately this was to be an engineering/ test board anyway. Just wondering what other folks think of this.
