We recently began that process using custom pallets with integral
     shields.

We run the entire assembly a the same wave height. The only major
insufficients that remain are due to shields masking some pads. This
can be eliminated by rotating the panel.

Subject: FAB: Solder plated shields

Hi all!

I'm just curious. Is there any one who solder shields in their wave
solder machine?
We're soldering shields in our machine using some extra flux and a
little higher wave section at that moment on the pcb. But there's a
problem, we can't solder just one part. If you imagine that you have 2
exactly similar shields on a PCB, one shield going short ended and one
long sided going through the waves, and the shield which goes short
ended first won't solder one of the short sides, always. We've checked
if they're warped and so on, with no luck.
Any suggestions, ideas or anyone having similar problems, i sure would
appreciate them.

Regards,
Jan Merstrand
