Good Morning Y'all,

I defense of Mr. Hillman, I agree with his sentiment in this case. TechNet
has always been a technical forum, which expressly prohibited sales and
marketing notices. We get flooded with enough of that in the snail mail.
The only time it has been acceptable has been in response to questions such
as "Does anyone make an XYZ machine?"

I have been privileged to meet Bob Willis recently in England. A wonderful
fellow and very giving of his technical expertise, especially in this forum.
I usually find his input to be insightful and useful. I will say, however,
that Bob does frequently push the line when it comes to advertising on
TechNet. In my opinion, which Mr. Hillman obviously shares, is that Bob
stepped over the line in this instance. A more appropriate response would
have said "I will be presenting a workshop at Nepcon, please e-mail me
directly for more information". I took Mr. Hillmans tone to be a firm
reminder, not rude.
