Ger-
Hello.
I saw a presentation here in Southern California, entitled "Moisture &
Stress Test Chips for Plastic Packaging Qualification", in August 1995.
The presentation was given by one of the co-authors, Dave Peterson of
Sandia Labs, Albuquerque, New Mexico. I believe that Sandia has designed
and markets at least two types of test chips, with features like
"passivated moisture sensor", "passivated triple track" sensors, etc.
NAT01 and (accelerated test chip) ATC04 were two chips discussed in the
paper.
Dave's number is
(505)844-6009
fax (505)844-2991
(don't have his email address)
Sandia's web site may also describe the chips; try

Call/email if you need a copy of the paper.

I am looking to source commercially available electronic packaging
reliability test chips. I am particularly interested in test structures
such as Strain Gauges, Heaters and Temperature sensing diodes, corrosion
monitors and daisy chains. I know of a number of such test chips used in
reliability ecaluation studies, but I'm not aware of many which are commercially
available. Any help greatly appreciated.
