TechNetters, one of my colleagues is looking for a hand-held UV source. It would be used for inspecting printed circuit boards after etching outer layers, checking for shorts. So - I think - it does not need to be anything very sophisticated.

We want something that will plug into a wall outlet, i. e., is not powered by batteries. We had been using a UV source made to surround the lens of a binocular microscope, but it did not stand up to handling very well.

Anyone have ideas? We have a bench-type source, but it is approximately the size of a small toolbox.
