Hi Mike! This is more of a question than a statement but would not
polyurethane particles char/burn/decompose if immersed in the wave
solderpot and end up being a constituent of the solderpot dross? I couldn't
find the char/flame resistance values for polyurethane but I am guessing
that they would not survive long in the solderpot (typical solderpot
temperature = 500F).

Subject: [TN] Solder Pot Contamination
Hi all,
Has anyone ever come across a method in which to detect resin (polyurethane
particles) contamination in a Wave Solder Pot???? And in turn, a method to
remove this sort of contamination???
Cheers
Mike
