There are a few other things that I have seen to cause this.

If it is indeed a lead salt, a quick swab with household ammonia should remove it. If not, these
could be "freeze lines" caused by either contaminants in the solder (have you had it analyzed
recently?) or a more subtle defect caused by low antimony (possessing reverse TCE
characteristics).
