We design and produce hardware for the Aerospace Industry. One of our suppliers, who is going to build a Printed Board Assembly( aka Circuit Card
Assembly,Printed Wiring Assembly)has a mandate to be lead-free.He has requested that I give him a comparable lead-free cored solder to replace the
current specified 63/37 3% RMA cored solder.
My question is what is out there right now that anyone has any " user experience" with. What is the activity level? Are there no-cleans available? Are
there any long term reliability issues? Will I have any problems with touch-up or rework at our facility?
