Good morning to all,

We are experiencing difficulties with two particular components. One is
a surface mount voltage regulator (7805) and the other is a thru-hole
double diode (MBR20100 in a To-220 package). Is it possible that these
components are sensitive to static, explaining why the problem is
isolated to these components or could it be the thermal profile of the
wave that would affect these particular parts?

We have never come across this type of problem before. I am perplexed
because if our process was at cause, wouldn't more components be
affected?

Thanks to all

Eric Laroche
