I understand that the barrel is copper, is this true? Even without a pad
on the solder side, I've had solder wick up the barrel.
I'm not sure I totally understand your process, and since I've had
problems with this before, I'd REALLY like to understand.

Hi Allen!
Actually, there's NO COPPER plated in the barrel...so no solder fills it
during wave. To make things easier to explain, I'll just send you a couple
of
pictures of what these "UFO tooling holes" look like. Just so happens I have
a board here that has them incorporated in it , and I've got my cool new
digital camera with me, and I'll send ya' a view of what the top and bottom
looks like. I'm zipping them up and sending em' to ya' in *.JPG format. A
picture is worth a thousand words as they say....
