Hi all!

We're fixing to get a new(er) wave solder machine, an Electrovert Electra.
We've had our good ol' Treiber for the past 3-years with a spray fluxer...and
as you may imagine, there has been quite a build-up of flux in the ducting.

I'm trying to convince our facilities guy to just trash the old ducting and
start from scratch with the new machine. "But Steve, that's spiral ducting
and it ain't cheap!" I know that, but there's so much flux in there (and it's
both RMA and OA) that I think it would be futile to try and clean it out.

My question is, if we do start from scratch what have you all done to keep
the exhaust ducts from filling with flux? Don't say use a foam fluxer,
because the Electra is coming with a Opti-flux spray fluxer...it's supposed
to be a self contained module, and I'm thinking that will prevent the
atomized flux from getting all over inside the machine, but the module is
still going to be exhausted, right?

Is it as simple as putting in some sort of filter that may have to be changed
out every few days or so? Just looking for some ideas....

Thanks!
