with all knowledge from u gurus I know it cannot happen as electronics is so
rugged today. so I open it up, separate the PCBs remove the camera and
ultrasonic clean the assemblies in pure IPA. Bake at 75 degC for 1 hour and
its OK.
Strongly suspect that Bev Christian (RIM- Blackberry) and others in telecom
may have strong comments on self repair procedures.
Bev will have an interesting paper at next IPC Expo on reverse analysis of
returned Blackberries, and "CSI - Miami" type analysis of what these little
electronic marvels get dropped into. Stay tuned.
