I'm assuming that the members here on the IPC technet use IPC 610 to classify and rate their smt and through-hole defects.

I just wanted to submit a quick query to find out a general "state of the industry" to the following questions:

1. Are you an OEM or contractor or other?

2. Do you consider class 1, 2 or 3 defects (in IPC 610)?

3. Do you track defect rates in terms of DPMO?

4. What is your control limit for DPMO? <100? <50?

Thanks.

Henry J. Rekers
