It never ceases to amaze me how topical these - um - topics - are. I just
sent a box of boards out last nught to an x-ray shop. (same boards I asked
about earlier, this time with lead free BGAs). We're getting strange results and
assumed there's opens in the BGA. I don't have a lot of confidence that the
used a hot enough profile for a big board with many copper planes, so I'm
expecting some non-wetting.
Can I assume from this thread that they very well might give these boards a
passing grade, yet we could still have opens? The lab says they can do angle
x-rays, we turned down another shop that said they do top-down only.
One of the suspected opens is in row 2. What about a BGA scope for that
one?
