Hi Jim! There are ASTM methods covering the test methods and procedures for
both torsion and 3/4 point bend tests - their application to an electronics
situation/application will be left to your engineering judgement ( start
looking in ASTM D 618). Good Luck.

A little help with Specifications please?
Are there any sort of industry standards which define the following tests:
a. three point bend test
b. four point bend test
c. ball shear test
d. board level torsion test
I am aware of a number of internal documents at several companies for many
of these. The question is: Are there any published tests that concern
themselves with these kinds of tests, such as IPC, ISO, MIL, ASTM, etc.?
