I have been using this article by Doug Brooks as a guide for high current calculations for some time. The formulas in it have yet to fail me whether I am designing a fusible link in or out of a PWB.

Hello everyone,
One of my PCB designers has come to me to inquire about IPC based PCB design
recommendations for high-current short-duration pulses over a long
distance, specifically 100A for 150 micro-seconds over 1 meter.
Are there any such IPC guidances, or anyone with such experience willing to
discuss with him?
