Two possible solutions, depending on your set up:
1) Use a different e-mail address for TechNet or other e-mail lists, so they
are automatically segregated.
2) Some net software can treat mail received from e-mail mailing lists as a
Usenet Newsgroup. Same effect as 1), I guess.
