Erythronium.  Vanadium is incorrect as it was extracted from Swedish ores and not Mexican brown lead.  However owing to an improper analysis by the French, the original naming and sourcing was improperly superseded by the Euro-centric scientific community.  Thus Erythonium, the nomen oblitum, is the correct answer. 

If anyone disagrees, we will feed them to the Manospondylus gigas.  :)
