There are major differenced between the cast polyimide adhesiveless, and the
sputtered electroplated variety.
The cast products all (I believe) come from Japan. The sputtered or vacuum
coated products are domestic, Gould and Sheldahl.
The Gould product, Gouldflex, comes in a variety of copper thichness. The
very thin versions ( 0.2 micron to 9 micron) are not available in cast
versions. cast products are single sided. The vacuum made products are two
sided if needed, and can have different copper thickness on each side.
