Since many of us have to try to decode files that come attached to internet
messages, you might be interested in other utilities. If you are on a UNIX
system, your system administrator should have the proper tools. If you are
on a PC (as I am), there are numerous decode facilities available. Most of
the major providers (AOL, CIS, Prodigy) have shareware that you can download.
The one that has worked well for me has been a program called OMEGA. Does
everything, from UUEncode and Decode to MIME pack and unpack. Only costs
about $30 to register. I have found it to be very useful and easy to use.
