May I suggest this format for a single post on TechNet. We have done pretty well with the (NTC) tag in the subject line, so on busy days we don't open these postings. I know some do not lke title changes as they sort by thread name, but I have no other suggestion. I highly respect the professionalism on TechNet, and approve the occasional blast to self police our forum.
I am not exactly sure where Dean says the IPC job posting site is, but seem to remember that Designers Forum on IPC was absorbed with accepted job postings. No other forums were supposed to mentiion jobs.
I surely do not want to turn TechNet into LinkedIn, where I mostly see job related junk, and very little tech content.

Just to clarify my position:
am in the same boat as Louis. I certainly don't have an issue with someone
ccasionally posting a job or informing the forum of his/her job loss, and I
specially welcome news of someone's new position. Someday I may need to do the
ame.
In fact, in Steve's case I requested his resume and provided it to three of my
wn client companies (offline) to see if anyone could use his skills. Two of
hose companies inquired whether I would contact Steve to see if he was
nterested in relocating to the Upper Midwest area, but Steve was offered and
ad accepted a job before I was even able to do this. I did this not only for
teve, but several others as well. Two of them landed jobs directly as a result
f my efforts.
Where it becomes an issue with me is when several people begin responding-to-all
n the Forum with requests for information about the job, or they advertise
ervices as a consultant, etc., which should all be kept private and be done
ffline.
I don't create the Forum rules for use, but I try to respect them because I have
een many others object to having to wade through a lot of non-technical
ostings to find information they are looking for.
As I said in my last posting on the subject, I believe that is why IPC created
he Job Posting section outside of the forum.

Adding a little bit to Karen's posting, from time to time, someone has announced
job loss on TechNet. I remember Steve Gregory a year or two ago, a training
ady in Michigan, a couple of dedicated gentlemen technetters a while back...I
ould not object if he/she, after maybe 2 months, toggled TechNet again if the
ituation had not changed. I tell people I talk with to let me know in a month
heir status, since, if I don't hear anything, I will assume they are back at
ork.
