Almost anything to help souls in distress ; would you be a lady (like Kathy)
the anything would be unconditional .

Kathy, how does the gasketing feel ?

And Steve, how did I know before I hit the SEND button I get hit with
dispensers ?!?
Since you asked ; goes like this :
You can balance (no downtime to mention as well) one gemini with one
mydata's hydra if you use dual needles for passives. Up to 20 pitch on IC's
. So far so good . Than volumes picked up ; more p&p's ; and decision is
more dispensers or one printer ?
And the new closed heads on plastic stencils (yo' dead right 'bout the
gasketing ) did finally bring the democratic decision of best of both worlds
in tandem = loader/printer/dispenser , and the rest .
Dispenser compensates for example the pin in hole feeds on SMD anchored
connectors and other odd's we place on p&p's ;
where printer would not cope with mass needed . And stencil works where
dispenser would not cope with speed feeding more p&p's.
Therefore the proto's are still programmed on gemini ; and volumes roll of
2000's stencils .
We did research the new 145K dph XYFlex ; but at this stage the baby is
still very immature for paste ; (very good for flip fills - most of the
applications) ; there we missed the evolution by 'bout 2 years .
Even than Flex would keep up comfortably with couple of p&p's ; no more ; so
as long as we do not have to change (or wait for) stencils on proto's and
low volumes ; and cope with one level only paste depositions ; I'm "happy"
with the gran plan . Still hate the cleaning bit after ; difference being
like short or long visit to the bathroom ;
but if mother nature could not work it out ; who am I to insist on single
solution .

See you paul

ps
some aspirin for Norman please ?

Hi ya' Paul!

First I gotta' tell ya', I sure do got some leads now after your
"unauthorized" post last week...I should say thanks. So; "thanks mate".

Now on to the technical stuff. I've never used a polyimide stencil, but I've
heard they're slick as snot...being able to see through them makes it really
easy to align when you're doing epoxy on the bottomside. I think I remember
Kathy Palumbo from Viking said she was using them and if I remember right
she
said she liked them quite a bit. Heard they gasket really good so they
reduce
the cleaning between prints quite a bit. Like to try one myself actually...

As far as how thick, I went to a Canadian company's WEB page that makes the
stencils and they recommend 5-mils for 20-mil pitch...a mil less than what
you would use for a stainless stencil. Their page is at:
http://www.kjmarketing.com

Say, what you asking 'bout stencils for anyway? Your Camelots breaking down
or something?
