Hello,

normally, if the spot on HIC indicates 60% RH, once you put it back in a
low RH% environment (i.e. a Dry Cabinet, Dry-Pack, ) it gradually changes
colour by itself according to existing RH%, so no need for restoration
process.

You can try, by sealing HIC (60%RH Spot colour )inside a MBB dry pack, with
enough desiccants, together with a regular HIC, then after few days when
opening the MBB, you can see by yourself what happens. Surprise !!

BTW, some HIC producers, do not suggest to re-use them when spot colour is
is over >60%RH.

Regards

Gabriele

Oggetto: [TN] Restoration of Humidity Indicator Cards

Hello Technetters,

Can HICs be restored if the 10% spot turns pink? The new cards have a 60%
spot that indicates the cards must be discarded if it indicates wet, which
suggests that the cards can be re-used through a restoration process. Do you
bake the cards at some temperature for a certain amount of time to re-use
them?

Thanks,

Blair
