It took two weeks and 490 miles of driving but the P4 is working. Got rid of
the Intel MB and installed my favorite Asus MB. Had to buy a copper heat
sink big hog thing weighing in at about fifty pounds and applied a little
grease and up she came. Worst two computer weeks I ever spent.

Intel's BIG TIME PATTENTED heat sink ran at over one hundred degrees. My
replacement heatsink runs at sixteen or more degrees less.

The big thing though is, the system came up with only about thirty minute's
work compared to two weeks.

What crap all this proprietary crap,
