A Contract Assemblers New Year Poem
Ninety-six is `bout gone,
Ninety-seven is 'bout here,
Shrink-wrapped the last pallet for shipment,
I think it's miller time...
HEY! Don't hawg all the cold beers!
Fer' the last week now,
it's been 18-hour days...
Can't remember my last good nights sleep,
It's a vague memory that's lost in a foggy haze...
We always make the same resolution,
Year after year. "It's not gonna' be like this again,
we'll plan better next time!" We cry,
but it'll be same thing again at the next year end I fear...
I think maybe `cause it's one of them JIT things,
and what our customers always seem to do..
We plan what we build by THEIR production forecasts,
NOT by the dollar figure of their year end revenue...
Well we made it anyway,
and we all are pretty proud,
We made our customers year-end,
and tonight I'm gonna' get PLOWED!
YEEEE-HAW!!
