Hello everyone,

I was asked a question this AM that I do not know the answer to and I was
hoping to get some of your thoughts. One of my employees brought in a
"Cordless" Antistatic Wrist Strap made by Botech. I guess the theory behind
it works on the Corona principle???? I'm not familiar with that principle.
Has anyone had any experience with this type of wrist strap? Is it
effective? How do you test it to verify its' effectiveness?

It would appear to me that this would not be effective or appropriate due to
the fact that everything else in the ESD protected work area is grounded to
a different potential (in our case electrical ground).

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Rich Lasko
