Working with laser depaneller (UV 10W) for exactly those reasons (component or trace proximity to cuts, sensitivity to dust or vibration)

No problem with flex and flex-rigid. On paper it supposedly can cut upto 1.6mm FR4, but in practice for acceptable results and cycle time, less then 0.8mm thick FR4 is ideal.
