Technet,
Just a thought: The bandwidth used on the technet for the
comments *about* spam may be better directed to those who
"opened the can".
Since we are a large list, we are an attractive target for
this kind of thing.
Can I suggest that we, as a list, have the opportunity to
"defend" ourselves? Instead of mailing commentary to the
technet, why don't we point out to the offender that they
have posted inappropriately?
Even if only a small percentage of us did this, we would
create enough mail traffic for that person that they`d
likely think twice before broadcasting like this again,
in other words, a nescessary educational process.
In general, if you (we) have a gripe about an inappropriate
posting, send it to the author, NOT THE LIST! Copying their
postmaster is also a good method, as most ISPs and company
sysops really do care about this sort of thing.
Anyway, have a good day!
