Ingemar,

IPC-CC-830,Qualification and Preformance of Electrical Insulating Compound

for PWB tells you e.g. about the required apperance of Conformal Coating.

IPC-SM-840C, Table 1 lists all the requirements for the qualification of

soldermasks. Adhesion Conformal Coating is one of them. But has to be

agreed with user and supplier.

Regards,

Frank

Re: [TN] Manual spraying, further qs

Thanks Ken,

are there any stds that demand a perfect surface, e.g. any IPC standards.

And what use to cause outgassing issues? I have several PWB courses

behind,

but many, many years ago. Can dig in my piles, but a faster answer from TN

seems a bit more comfortable.

/Inge
