- In a previous life (some years ago) I did some research on an emergency
egress system for helicopters and we controlled the turbidity quite precisely
to simulate the aeration and contamination associated with a crash at sea.  I
no longer have the formula or specific recollection but it seemed dead simple
at the time.  Check the web for optical measurement of fluid and see what you
can find.
