We used brass foil (like a stencil). The foil was etched creating apertures
for the components which were a concern and the polarity marking was etched
right in the foil as well. Hope this helps.
Thanks,

Subject: [TN] Assembly Overlay
Am looking for suggestions on an antistatic plastic film to be used
as an
overlay in a printed circuit board assembly operation. Needs to be
something that can be printed or marked with things like correct
part
orientation to use to check whether the parts are on the circuit
assembly
correctly.
