How clean is clean might be important, but I believe even more important is
the question: what effect do the various contaminants have upon the long term
performance of the board? Once that question is answered, than the follow-up
will be how can you remove the "bad" contaminants and to what level before
performance is affected adversely.

It seems as the tests become more and more sensitive the thought is that if
you can measure something, even in parts per billion, it is necessarily bad. I
don't believe that this is truly the case and before we make both suppliers
and end-users spend additional money to use purer and purer materials, some
real answers are needed.
