Hi Charles:
I concur with you, it does not hold H2O. What is your policy ( hypothetically )if the coater is down? At what point do you clean them again when they are protected from the ambient, if at all?
Regards,
Ramon

I try to keep it to 8 Hr. or less. Usually only about 2 Hr. But really if the
boards are protected from contamination like dust, it should not be a
concern. The drying is to make sure solvents/ cleaning solutions are gone.
The idea that they need to be coated immediately to prevent moisture
absorption doesn't hold water. Most coatings are permeable to some extent.

Question to the forum:
What is the time window between cleaning/bake dry and
Conformal Coating? I hear from 32 hours to indefinite. What is your
experience?
Best Regards,
Ramon
