I stipulate to the discussions obvious intent to achieve a better
inspection performance.
However, the intital presumption is that the inspector can, in fact see.
Then the real conundrum presents itself.
What one sees versus what on thinks they see are two different things.
Why would inspection be much different in terms of consistant results.
I believe that  is why the Martin Marietta Inspection Manual showing
pictures that clearly detailed what was acceptable
vs. what was not is worth reviewing.

It eliminates ad-hoc interpretation for what is accepatable would it not.
In terms of assemblies, I found it to be a superior teaching aid as well
as process method.
