  Tooling pins are usually accurately dimensioned. Therefore, IMHO, you
  would want your tooling hole
  as large as, but never smaller than, the pin itself. In my personal
  experience we have called out a
  +.003/-.000 in. hole so it would always drop down on the pins without
  needing any extra force.

  There are also those situations where the pins are fully tapered. In
  those cases, it doesn't make much
  difference how the holes are toleranced as long as they do not get to be
  larger that the fattest portion
  of the pins.
