There have been some reports indicating some creep-fatigue advantage for
SN62
over near-eutectic SnPb in accelerated testing; others showing none. In
any
case, even the studies showing some superiority for SN62 indicate only a
slight
improvement of little significance. However, SN62 is somewhat stronger
than
near-eutectic SnPb and creeps slower-thus, whether even this slight
superiority
in accelerated testing translates to anything at all for product
reliability
is rather doubtful.
