G'day Edwin,
I guess the easiest way to explain it is that you want to check the
continuity of solder joints. Take for example a component with 10 Pins,
Pins (1,2) (3,4) (5,6) (7,8) (9,10) are electrically connected internal
to the daisy chain component. When you lay the Board out Pads (2,3)
(4,5) (6,7) (8,9) are connected. The component pins are now daisy
chained. When you send it through your process you can check the
integrity of your solder joints by simply metering between pins 1 and 10
which will result in either a short circuit or open circuit. Open
circuit look at your process, Short circuit you could be on a winner.
