One of my least favorite topics to discuss is this test method.
It was placed into 650 as PROVISIONAL because none of the homework
had been done to answer the questions you have asked.

We don't know how the values would be effected if the head is larger or
smaller than the land it is solder to - or how the amount of solder used will
effect the values obtained.

There is only one IPC spec at this time that references this test method for
use and has pass/fail criteria included - however - no one has data to show
that the tests were done to get those pass/fail values.

The pins are pretty massive - have a few on my desk that I frown at regularly.

Keep the group informed as to your test data so that one day we can make this
a viable test.
