Foil over the emitter. The difference in the image resolution is minimal. I don’t understand the bit about the system compensating.

Wouldn't the system simply increase the power to compensate? Foil over the part? or the emitter?

You will get a downshift on the flash in the embedded SSD with too much exposure 5 dx typically no problem but extended 3D will cause the issue.
